Life, Leadership & Career Coaching

Coaching With Maggie Metcalfe

As both a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Vocational Counselor, I offer services that meet you where you are — whether that’s through therapy or coaching. Coaching is available and is ideal for individuals looking for growth, direction, and practical tools for creating meaningful change.

How Coaching Differs From Counseling

While therapy focuses on healing emotional or mental health challenges, coaching is about growth, action, and potential.

  • Therapy is for Washington residents and may be covered by insurance.
  • Coaching has no geographic restrictions and is not covered by insurance.

Because I’m trained in both, I can help you determine which approach best fits your needs. Sometimes therapy clients transition into coaching as they move beyond treatment goals — and vice versa.

What Coaching Can Help With

Coaching focuses on strengths, values, and goals to help you:

  • Clarify your life, career, or leadership direction.
  • Navigate transitions and overcome obstacles.
  • Build new habits, skills, and accountability.
  • Strengthen confidence and emotional resilience.
  • Develop focus, motivation, and balance.
  • Bring insight into action.

My Coaching Approach

My coaching draws on both psychological insight and practical strategies. This means sessions are active and goal-oriented, combining reflection with real tools to help you take meaningful steps toward the life you want. You don’t need a mental health diagnosis to benefit from these practices — they’re simply effective ways to grow, focus, and thrive.
